Raise The Gong is governed by a 100% volunteer, and very proactive Management Committee. We need all the support we can get to assist us in our promotion of Women’s Health!

Anyone who is passionate about Women's Health - whether it be fighting cancer, increasing awareness of mental illness or any other area - is encouraged to join us. Membership is annual and further information can be found in our Application Package.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF MEMBERSHIP

 1.    All members are bound by the constitution of Raise The Gong Inc. This constitution can be viewed by contacting a committee member or online by clicking here.

2.    Financial year members of Raise The Gong Inc will receive a newsletter (to a nominated email or postal address) and invitation to participate in events and campaigns determined by the Management Committee

 3.    Contributions are welcome and encouraged by members to the Raise The Gong newsletter and will be published subject to the discretion of the Management Committee and newsletter editor

 4.    Participation in Raise The Gong events is important to the organisation as the group is volunteer run and operated. No positions within Raise The Gong Inc committees are funded positions

 5.    Members who incur costs while performing approved Raise The Gong Inc activities and business will be reimbursed, subject to prior approval by the Treasurer

 6.    The Raise The Gong Inc Management Committee will determine decisions made for the development, management and future directions of Raise The Gong Inc. General members are encouraged to provide input and feedback via a committee member or at regular general meetings

 7.    Membership to Raise The Gong Inc is either for 6 months, 1 year or 3 years, dependent on financial commitment made by member.

 8.    The financial year of Raise The Gong begins on 1st March annually, and runs from March to February in successive years.

 9.    All financial members may vote on matters at the Annual General Meeting. In a members absence they are should complete a Proxy form to nominate a member to vote on their behalf.

 10.  Raise The Gong Inc is governed by a President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer and up to six (minimum 3) general committee members and is managed according to the constitution. These positions are nominated and voted in according to the constitution.

 11.  Raise The Gong Inc is a non-profit, volunteer run association that aims to increase awareness of Women’s health, particularly cancers, through fundraising for treatment and prevention. Raise The Gong Inc will work towards raising funds for various charities throughout the year by holding events. Raise The Gong Inc has no political agenda or affiliation with any one charity or organisation.
